The Stillwater Central School District serves 1,277 students in
Universal
Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. The district consists of two school
buildings:
Stillwater Elementary School, which serves students in
UPK-grade 5, and
Stillwater Middle School/High School, which serves
students in grades 6-8 (MS) and grades 9-12 (HS).
A small school atmosphere, individual attention, and community support are just some of the things that make Stillwater unique. The district is proud to provide students with a strong academic program in core subjects, as well as offer accelerated courses, distance learning courses, and a variety of electives, such as art and music.
In addition to the traditional academic courses, the district offers 12 sports programs across three seasons, and a wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities.

This will be accomplished through the committed efforts and support of students, staff, parents and community in a positive, safe, and challenging learning environment.
The Town of Stillwater, with a population of 3,940, is located in Upstate New York. The town encompasses a total area of 43.6 square miles, of which 2.2 square miles is water. Within the town resides the Village of Stillwater. The east town line is the border of Rensselaer County and Washington County, marked by the Hudson River.
Within a short drive, residents can visit a premiere shopping mall, swim and fish in Saratoga Lake, or enjoy a picnic in one of the many local and state parks. More than a dozen colleges and universities are nearby, including the State University of New York at Albany, The Sage Colleges, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Historic Saratoga Springs, home of the famous Saratoga Thoroughbred Race Track, lies less than 15 minutes away. Montreal, Boston and New York City are all within a few hours' drive.
