A message from the superintendent regarding the cold weather

Dear Parents and Guardians,

With the below freezing temperatures we have been experiencing some mornings, I wanted to remind everyone to please make sure your child is bundled up and dressed appropriately.

It is important that we work together to make sure students are prepared to go to school in cold weather. We encourage you to remind children to dress warmly with gloves, hats, heavy coats, scarves and appropriate footwear.

I can assure you that once your student is on campus, our school buildings are warm, safe and an ideal place for them to be when it is extremely cold outside.

As for elementary students and recess, we continue to look daily at the temperatures and will make a determination each day on whether or not students will be outside.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out. Stay safe and warm!

Sincerely,

Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
