  • Varsity basketball at Ithaca College
  • Coached at St. Mary’s of Glens Falls
  • Coached basketball and football at Stillwater
  • As basketball coach: Won state championship, 3 regional championships, 3 Sectional titles and 9 league championships
  • Coached the Stillwater Golf Team to 3 league championships and one Sectional title
  • Inducted into New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002
  • Retired in 2002 with 450 basketball wins
  • Chairman of the Section 2 Basketball committee

Paul “Butch” Lilac

Student, Athlete, Coach – Teacher for 34 years

  • Played basketball and baseball from 1956-59
  • Graduated from Brockport State Teacher’s College
  • Coached varsity girls basketball and varsity baseball
  • Won the girls basketball league championship in 1985
  • Coached junior high boys basketball, JV basketball and baseball for 20 years
  • As baseball coach: Won a state championship, a regional championship, five Sectional titles, and five league championships
  • Named New York State Baseball Coach of the Year in 1998
  • Retired in 1998
  • Served the community as Stillwater Town Supervisor from 1983-2003

William “Bill” Sheridan

Student, Athlete – Class of 1942

  • Outstanding athlete in basketball, baseball and soccer
  • Led the Warriors to Saratoga County Championships in basketball and baseball
  • Co-captain of the soccer team
  • Served in the United States Army in World War II
  • Graduated from Ithaca College
  • Served as coach and Athletic Director of Fort Ann High School from 1950-1980
  • Served the community of Fort Ann as Town Supervisor

Jon P. Mueller

Student, Athlete

  • Outstanding basketball player (1,917 points)
  • Played basketball, baseball and football
  • Led the Warriors to a state basketball championship in 1988
  • Led the Warriors baseball team to the state semi-finals in 1988
  • Won the 1988 Chieftan’s Cup as Stillwater’s outstanding athlete
  • Played basketball and baseball for Eckard College
  • Played professional baseball for the Albany Diamond Dogs
  • Head baseball coach at University at Albany

Jessemyn Russell

Student, Athlete – 1998-2003

  • 2003 NYSPHSAA pentathlon state champion
  • Won three sectional titles and five league titles as a track athlete
  • Also played basketball and soccer
  • Ran track at Nazareth College
  • Won the NYSCTC Indoor Pentathlon in 2004 & 2005
  • Won the NYSCTC Outdoor Heptathlon in 2004
  • Won the Chieftan’s Cup as Stillwater’s outstanding female athlete in 2002 & 2003

Gerald “Red” Brewster

Student, Athlete – 1945-1949

  • Outstanding basketball player
  • Played basketball, baseball and soccer
  • Known for his left-handed push shot
  • Averaged over 20 points in high school basketball
  • Great first basemen
  • Attended The University of Vermont
  • Served on the Stillwater Board of Education
  • Served on the Stillwater Town Board
  • A great community leader
