  • 2006 recipient of the Francis “Dutch” Howlan Award
  • 2010 recipient of the Tournament Program dedication for Section 2

Aileen Durrant

Teacher and coach

  • 1974-2013 taught physical education at Stillwater 
  • 1974- started the interscholastic program for girls field hockey, volleyball, basketball, and softball
  • By 1977 had Varsity and JV programs up and running
  • Coached every level of the above sports since their inception
  • Coached indoor track
  • 1978-1992 President of the New York State Softball Umpires 
  • 1993-2001 State Softball Coordinator
  • 2012 Induction into the New York State High School Softball Hall of Fame
  • The Aileen Durrant Award is given to three softball players each year who show exceptional sportsmanship by The Capital District Softball Umpires 
  • The Aileen Durrant Award is given to one school each year at the State Championships who has shown exceptional sportsmanship by The New York State Softball Umpires
