Stillwater Elementary teachers are dedicating their time this summer to promoting reading and writing with their first Summer Outreach Program.
The program, for students in grades K-5, will be held on Wednesdays in July and August at the Saratoga Hills Pavilion from noon – 1 p.m.
During the program students will listen to stories and have the opportunity to work on various writing activities. They will also be given information on the Stillwater Free Library.
“This program is a great partnership between the school, the community, and the library,” Elementary Principal Paul Morcone said. “We want to keep promoting literacy year-round and it is very important to keep the students involved and engaged, especially in the summer.”
Students do not have to sign up for the program and can come on any or all days.
