Individuals in MS/HS community test positive for COVID-19

March 25, 2021

Dear Stillwater Community,

The Stillwater Central School District has been notified that an individual in the high school community and an individual in the middle school community have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals were last in school on March 22, and March 23, respectively. We have been working with the Saratoga County Department of Health to identify their close contacts in the school community. Anyone who has been in close contact with the individuals is being directly contacted to discuss quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

As a reminder, it is essential to keep the district informed if your child becomes symptomatic or if someone in your household tests positive. If you have a question regarding COVID-19 symptoms or protocols please reach out. Our COVID Team is here to help. If we do not have the answer we will connect with the Department of Health to get it for you.

Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
