Provisional 12-Month Senior School Secretary — Elementary (*pending the result of the Civil Service Exam)
Description:
- Prepares correspondence, documents, records and other written material in final or draft form using computer software from handwritten, rough drafts, marked copy, oral recordings or data from various equipment as the source material
- May prepare responses to letters concerning programs, policies and procedures for supervisor’s signature
- Schedules and arranges meetings; conferences, appointments and attaches appropriate background material to correspondence
- Receives, sorts and distributes incoming mail
- Checks, codes and processes requisitions, claims, bills
- Answers phone calls
- Screens callers or visitors to determine the nature of the inquiry and refers to appropriate party or office and answer inquiries as appropriate
- Composes and prepares correspondence
- Collects and gathers information to be used as a basis for reports, memoranda, and prepares summaries
- Establishes, maintains confidential and general office files
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a New York State regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science or a closely related field and three (3) years of clerical experience which involved the operation of a computer for word-processing, database or spreadsheet applications; or
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of clerical experience which involved the operation of a computer for word-processing, database or spreadsheet applications.
Salary: $44,099, per CSEA contract

Lunch and Recess Monitor (10-Month position)
Description: Stillwater Elementary School is seeking an individual to supervise students in grades K-5 at lunch and recess. The ideal candidate will be dependable, patient and flexible. The position is from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
Salary: Per the CSEA Agreement $16.54/hr.

Special Education Teacher (Grades 3-5, Special Class Setting– Elementary)
Description: Stillwater Central School District is seeking a dedicated and compassionate NYS-certified Special Education Teacher to lead a small, specialized classroom serving students in grades 3–5 with Autism and other developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering individualized, evidence-based instruction aligned to IEP goals, while fostering a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. This role includes supervising and collaborating with classroom paraprofessionals, maintaining consistent and meaningful communication with families, and working closely with related service providers to ensure a coordinated approach to student support. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning and developmental needs
- Managing and guiding paraprofessional staff to ensure effective classroom support
- Supporting students’ communication, social-emotional, and adaptive skill development
- Facilitating appropriate opportunities for inclusion and integration within the school community
- Maintaining ongoing parent communication and collaboration
- Advocating for students to ensure access to appropriate services and supports
Candidates must hold valid New York State certification in Special Education. Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a commitment to student-centered practices are essential.
This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with complex needs and committed to fostering meaningful growth and independence.

School Counselor (10-Month Probationary Tenure Track)
Description: Stillwater Central School District is accepting applications for a Counselor position. The successful candidate will work with high school students, collaborating closely with building administrators to support student well-being, academic and post-graduation pathways, student scheduling, and master schedule building. Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, New York State School Counselor certification. Interested candidates must submit a complete application through OLAS. A complete application will consist of a resume, a cover letter specific to this position, recommendations, and applicable certification.
Salary: Per STA Agreement.
