Position: Elementary School Aide (temporary position, end date of 6/26/24)

Description: The PPS department seeks a caring, patient individual to support a student throughout the school day. The chosen candidate will provide environmental, behavioral, and emotional support that contributes to the overall safety and academic success of the student.

Salary: $15.59/hr.

Position: Elementary Special Education Teacher (10-Month Position)

Description: Stillwater PPS department is seeking a dynamic special education teacher for our grade 3-5 Special Class (12:1:2). The successful candidate will be responsible for educating students with diverse academic and social-emotional needs. Collaboration with our related service team, teaching assistants, special area teachers, and general education teachers in grades 3-5 will be essential in meeting our students’ needs. Must have appropriate certification. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with students with behavioral support, Autism, and learning disabilities.

Position: Universal Pre-Kindergarten Teacher (10-Month Position)

Description: The Stillwater Elementary School is seeking a teacher for our Universal Pre-Kindergarten program. This is a full day program and the successful candidate should possess experience with early literacy, multi-disciplinary approaches and strategies for meeting the needs of diverse learners.

Position: Band Teacher – Elementary (10-Month Position)

Description: The Stillwater Elementary School is seeking an Elementary Band Teacher beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instrumental music instruction to students in grades 4 & 5 in addition to conducting band concerts. We are looking for a collaborative and dynamic individual to fill this position.

Position: 10-Month School Aide (MS/HS)

Description: The Pupil Personnel Department seeks an aide to assist high school students during class with work completion, attention to task, organization, and overall individual success. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing test accommodations for students with disabilities.

Qualifications: HS Diploma/Equivalency Required

Salary: Per CSEA Agreement

Position:  10-Month Teaching Assistant

Description: Work with students who are developing functional life skills. Assist students in the community and on school campus with various jobs and academic tasks. Collaborate with the teacher to provide experiences integrating students into our school community. The candidate must be flexible and enjoy working with exceptional and diverse students.

Qualifications: NYSED Teaching Assistant Certification required

  • Willing to take on direction

Substitutes Are Needed

  • Substitute Bus Drivers, CDL training provided, paid training after permit earned
  • Substitute Classroom Aides, HS diploma or equivalent
  • Substitute Lunch Aides, HS diploma or equivalent
  • Substitute Recess Aides, HS diploma or equivalent

We have positions available for all levels of education, availability and area of interest. We will pay for the cost of mandatory fingerprinting associated with working in schools.
