2026-27 Kindergarten Registration information

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year is quickly approaching. If your child will be five years old by Dec. 1, 2026, they may be eligible for next year’s kindergarten class.

New York State and School Board policy mandate that all incoming kindergarteners be screened prior to starting school. The screening and registration process will be explained at Kindergarten Parent Information Night, which will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 6 p.m.

In addition, kindergarten registration and screening will take place on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Please note that registration will be available on the district website at www.scsd.org and will not open until Tuesday, May 19.

To register your child:

  • Please visit the district website at www.scsd.org.
  • Scroll to “Featured Links” at the bottom of the page.
  • Click “Student Registration.”
  • Select the registration link listed as “Kindergarten – Fall of 2026.”
