District Building Substitutes
Description: The Stillwater Central School District is accepting applications for District Building Substitutes. The ideal candidate will possess a NYS teaching certificate. The successful candidate will report daily to the building and provide substitute coverage. The position may also include additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the administration on any given day. Candidates must be available to work from 7:20-3:30 depending on which building they are assigned to for the day.
Salary: $175 per day – for applicants with teaching certification
$150 per day – for applicants without teaching certification

Long-term Substitute (maternity leave) – High School Mathematics
(*Six-week leave, anticipated through Oct. 28, 2026)
Description: The Stillwater Central School District is accepting applications for a long-term high school mathematics substitute. The successful candidate will work primarily with high school students enrolled in the Algebra I Regents class. Applicants must hold, or be eligible for, a New York State teaching certification in Mathematics. Interested candidates must submit a complete application through OLAS. A complete application will consist of a resume, a cover letter specific to this position, recommendations, and applicable certification. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Salary: per STA contract/commensurate with experience.
Procedure: Apply on OLAS by Aug. 21, 2026.

Bus Drivers (3 Positions)
Salary: $21,508

Substitutes Are Needed
Do you have an interest in working with children in your own community and shaping tomorrow’s leaders today? Like other school districts, we are in need of filling key positions for grades K-12 so that we can maintain our high standards of education for our students. Throughout the year, our district seeks the following substitute positions (please note corresponding level of education):
- Substitute Teachers, 4-year degree or higher
- Substitute Teacher Assistant, 2-year degree or higher
- Substitute Bus Drivers, CDL training provided, paid training after permit earned
- Substitute Classroom Aides, HS diploma or equivalent
- Substitute Lunch Aides, HS diploma or equivalent
- Substitute Recess Aides, HS diploma or equivalent
We have positions available for all levels of education, availability and area of interest. We will pay for the cost of mandatory fingerprinting associated with working in schools.
