Athletics Overview

At Stillwater Central School District, athletics play a vital role in fostering student development, community engagement and school spirit. With a commitment to excellence, the district offers a comprehensive athletic program that emphasizes academic achievement, personal growth and sportsmanship.

Athletic Mission and Values

The SCSD Athletic Department is dedicated to helping student-athletes become stronger academically, athletically and socially for the betterment of the community. Our mission is to create a positive and supportive environment where students learn the value of teamwork, discipline, and commitment.

We focus on building a strong sense of community and belonging, encouraging athletes to develop character and leadership through fair play and healthy competition. Through these experiences, students gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed both on the field and in life.

Sports Offered

Athletic Placement Process

The Stillwater Central School District’s Athletic Placement Process (APP) is designed to assess whether middle school students are physically and emotionally prepared to participate in high school-level interscholastic sports. The process includes evaluations of physical maturity, fitness, and skill level to ensure students are ready for the demands of higher-level competition, promoting both safety and fairness. The page also provides registration details and FamilyID/ArbiterSports instructions to help families complete the required steps.
