Richard “Dick” Goverski

Class of 1961, Physical Education teacher and coach

  • Played varsity baseball, basketball and football from 1958-1961
  • Played on the first football league championship team in 1960
  • Played on the first baseball league championship team in 1961
  • Taught physical education at Stillwater for 35 years (1971-2005)
  • Coached varsity baseball at Stillwater for 18 years (1971-1989)
  • Totaled 290 wins coaching at Stillwater and a career 301 wins (Heatly 1969-1970).
  • 5 League championships (1979, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1988)
  • Baseball sectional championships (1973, 1980, 1985, 1988)
