Signing ceremony celebrates senior-athletes; Tyler Paffen receives national football honors

A signing ceremony was held at Lilac Lobby on Wednesday afternoon, June 16, to celebrate our successful college-bound senior student athletes. They signed letters of intent to continue their education and athletic careers.

Congratulations to the following student-athletes who have committed to playing athletics in their chosen sport, while pursuing their academic goals at the collegiate level:

  • Isaac Cutler-Mujjumbire: Slippery Rock University, PA, Football
  • Hayden Brown: Alfred University, NY, Football
  • Rhett Mercier: St. Lawrence University, NY,  Football
  • Ethan Price: Columbia Greene Community College, NY, Baseball
  • Trinity Cutler-Mujjumbire: Hudson Valley Community College, NY, Basketball
  • Marley Mueller: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY,  Basketball
  • Ally Hefner: Northern Vermont University, Softball
  • Tyler Paffen: Scholar-Athlete Award, National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame Award

Tyler Paffen has been awarded the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame Award for the 2021 season. “Tyler has been a standout in the community, classroom and on the football field,” said Athletic Director Mike Kinney. “He is also one of 12 overall winners in the entire section as one of the top football scholars. Tyler will attend Siena College to major in biology, and his eyes set on earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Congratulations to Tyler for winning such a wonderful and prestigious award.”
