Scholarship applications requiring an official high school transcript, counselor letter of recommendation or counselor’s signature must be submitted to your school counselor at least 14 days prior to the due date. In addition to the scholarships listed here, most colleges offer available scholarships when students apply to their school. The Elks National Foundation Scholarships For Elks Families: College-bound high school seniors who are the children or grandchildren of dues-paying Elks are welcome to apply. The application must be submitted online on or before January 31, 2020.
Beauty Schools Marketing Group: Beauty schools marketing group are offering $2,500 scholarships once every three months to a senior planning a career in beauty trades such as cosmetology, barbering, aesthetics, nail technology, etc. The quarterly deadlines to apply are Jan. 31, April 30 and July 31. Ned Carter Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to high school senior who will be attending a two or four year college, related to a firefighter, be a firefighter or be an Explorer/Junior Member in a fire department or fire district and who will be pursuing a career in a community service related discipline. Applications available in the Counseling Office. The application deadline is February 22, 2020.
Capital District Youth Soccer League Scholarship 2020: Awarded to high school graduate attending a two or four-year college and has participated on a team from a member club of the Capital District Youth Soccer League (CDYSL) for at least (2) seasons and has been involved in extracurricular school activities and/or community service. Application available in the Counseling Office. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2020.
H2M architects + engineers 2020 STEM Scholarship Awards Program: Awarded to graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing STEM related degrees and who plan to enter a career in architecture, engineering, planning, land surveying, landscape architect or environmental science to apply. Applications available in the Counseling Office. The application deadline is March 14, 2020.
Visiting Clarkson Earns Students Scholarships: $500 Scholarship will be awarded to any student who participates in an official undergraduate admissions visit Potsdam, NY. Visits must be completed no later than April 15 of the senior year. Students can qualify by participating in any personalized visit, overnight admissions visit, summer visit day, fall open house, spring open house/accepted students day, and group visits.
The Macedonia Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is available to high school seniors of African ancestry who exemplify the following characteristics: academic achievement; GPA 3.0 or higher, leadership, character, community service and personal poise. Applications and more information is available in the Counseling Office. The deadline is April 15, 2020.
Dr. Joseph E. Bowman, Jr. Memorial Educational Scholarship: This scholarship is available to high school seniors who exemplify the following characteristics: candidates intended major at a 2 or 4 year college must be in the area of STEM, academic achievement, leadership, character, community service, personal poise. B. Davis Scholarship: This $1000 scholarship is open to all high school juniors and seniors. Be sure to include your name and school you attend this year and next. This is not an academic scholarship but include where you are going to school now and what your future plans are. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic: Describe the three characteristics of leadership you admire most. Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual. Your submission must be sent by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
