Visiting Clarkson Earns Students Scholarships: $500 Scholarship will be awarded to any student who participates in an official undergraduate admissions visit Potsdam, NY. Visits must be completed no later than April 15 of the senior year. Students can qualify by participating in any personalized visit, overnight admissions visit, summer visit day, fall open house, spring open house/accepted students day, and group visits.
Women’s Republican Club of Saratoga County – Marlene Trieble Scholarship Award: A $500 scholarship award could be awarded to a student who writes an essay of up to 400 words describing community involvement or volunteer work, volunteer experience showcasing your good citizenship and how you plan to incorporate community involvement in your continuing education. Saratoga Builders Association: For seniors pursuing a construction education at a 2 or 4-year college. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. For more information and application stop into the counseling office. The deadline is April 1, 2020.
The NYSAAF and NYSSA Scholarship: This $1000 award is available to students who have been or active in a fair that is a member of NYSAAF or the NYSSA and plans to go to college. Applications available in the counseling office. The deadline is April 3, 2020.
National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame: A $1,000 award to be presented to a high school senior who has demonstrated a record of academic excellence and exemplary service to the community along with a strong interest in pursuing future studies in history and/or the arts. The Macedonia Merit Scholarship: This scholarship is available to high school seniors of African ancestry who exemplify the following characteristics: academic achievement; GPA 3.0 or higher, leadership, character, community service and personal poise. Dr. Joseph E. Bowman, Jr. Memorial Educational Scholarship: This scholarship is available to high school seniors who exemplify the following characteristics: candidates intended major at a 2 or 4 year college must be in the area of STEM, academic achievement, leadership, character, community service, personal poise. Ad Club Scholarship: Awarded to a high school senior planning to enrol at a Capital Region college or university, who are majoring in public communications, marketing, graphic arts, public relation, or any other communications-related curriculum. Bebu Scholarship: Established to provide scholarships for minority or economically disadvantaged students planning to attend SUNY Adirondack. Campbell Memorial Scholarship: This award is for a graduating senior enrolled in a VOTEC program pursuing Construction Technology, Building Construction/Building Trades, Carpentry AAS or AOS, Construction Technology (with carpentry minor), or Construction Technology/Building Construction. The Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) Scholarship: For students whose parents serve at one of the following military installations: Stratton Air National Guard Base; Navy Operational Support Center Glenville; Naval Support Activity Saratoga; Nuclear Power Training Ballston Spa; Watervliet Arsenal; or Joint Force Headquarters Latham. The MVP Health Care Scholarship: Two awards of $100 for a graduation senior planning to enter a 2 or 4 year college or university to pursue a degree in a wellness-related field such as nursing or medicine, nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, sports or fitness. Ruth Goldstein Memorial Music Scholarship: For a graduating senior who will continue to study music education or music performance. The Chief Executives Network for Manufacturing of the Capital Region, Inc. (CEN): is still accepting applications from Capital Region students pursuing a course of study that will lead to a career in manufacturing. CEN is an association of manufacturers located in the Capital Region. To encourage students to consider careers in manufacturing, CEN will once again be offering $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to applicants who are High school seniors graduating in 2020 and accepted at an accredited two or four year college, university, or trade school; or students planning to enroll in a major which can lead to qualifying for a position with a manufacturer. Adirondack School Counseling Association Scholarship: A $1500 scholarship to a senior planning to attend a 4-year college or university. B. Davis Scholarship: This $1000 scholarship is open to all high school juniors and seniors. Be sure to include your name and school you attend this year and next. This is not an academic scholarship but include where you are going to school now and what your future plans are. To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the topic: Describe the three characteristics of leadership you admire most. Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual. Your submission must be sent by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
