February 7, 2021

Dear Stillwater Community,

The Stillwater Central School District confirmed today, Sunday, February 7, that an individual in the elementary school community has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last in the building on February 5.

The Stillwater Central School District also confirmed today, Sunday, February 7, that an individual in the high school community has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last in the building on February 1.

We have been in contact with the Saratoga County Department of Health and identified the individuals’ close contacts in the school community. Anyone who has been in close contact with the individuals is being directly contacted to discuss quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of continuing to stay vigilant outside of school, including limiting group gatherings, wearing masks and following social distance guidelines.

As a reminder, it is essential to keep the district informed if your child becomes symptomatic.  Please call if you have any questions. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
