School budget vote absentee ballot mail-in deadline extended

Dear Stillwater Community,

Over the weekend, Governor Cuomo announced that he has extended the deadline for mailing in absentee ballots for this year’s school budget vote and board election.

Per Governor Cuomo’s executive order, in order to have your vote counted, school budget ballots can be accepted by hand delivery through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9 and received by mail through Tuesday, June 16 by the school district.

Remember, we have set up a ballot drop-off box outside of the business office where you can bring your ballot during business hours from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. today, Monday, June 8 and from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. After Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m., per the Governor’s executive order, the ballot box must be removed and you will have to mail in your ballot.

We are unable to distribute any additional ballots after Tuesday, June 9 at 5 p.m.
