Three Board of Education seats up for election in May, nomination petitions due April 22; budget hearing to be held on May 7

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Stillwater residents will vote on the district’s 2024-25 budget, in addition to “electing three (3) members of the Board of Education, three (3) of which are for three-year terms; two commencing July 1, 2024 and expiring on June 30, 2027, to succeed incumbents Jon Mueller and Jimel Williams and one to start immediately on May 22, 2024 to fill the vacated seat of Paul Lilac and expiring on June 30, 2027. The Board appointed Brian McNeil effective February 27, 2024 through May 21, 2024.”

Petitions to run for an open seat on the Board are available from the district clerk during school hours in the superintendent’s office and must be returned by Monday, April 22, 2024. You can also learn more about the role and responsibility of a school board here.
