Three Stillwater Middle School students recognized in peace poster contest

Three middle school students holding their handmade posters and smiling for a group photo. The three young ladies each drew a poster representing world peace.

Art can express meaningful ideas and has the power to communicate strong messages through imagery. Three talented Stillwater Middle School students—Audrey Bartis, Aubrey Trudeau and Jacklyn Wagner—were recently recognized for their submissions to the Lions International Peace Poster Contest, which invites students ages 11-13 to share what peace means to them through art.

This year’s theme, “Together as One,” challenged students to imagine a world where people from diverse backgrounds unite around a common cause and to consider what can be accomplished when we come together. Audrey, Aubrey and Jacklyn’s artwork captured this message impeccably, illustrating a future filled with hope, collaboration and understanding.

Congratulations to these outstanding young artists on their exceptional accomplishments and thoughtful representations of peace.
