Varsity basketball teams advance to Class B Quarterfinals

The Stillwater High School varsity basketball teams are shooting for sectional championships as both the girls and boys teams advance to the quarterfinals.

After their exceptional win against LaSalle Institute on Feb. 17, the girls varsity basketball team is ready to take on Coxsackie Athens in the Class B Quarterfinals. The game will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Albany Academy at 6:00PM; tickets to attend the game can be purchased here.

The girls varsity basketball game will be held on the lower/middle school campus of the Albany Academies, which can be accessed by a path near the playground. Follow the path to the Silipigno Athletic Center and the game will be inside of the Standish Gymnasium. Please note that spectator parking is limited to 140 on the school’s campus. Additional parking can be found across the street at 135 Academy Road; attendees can also park on Academy Road.

The boys varsity basketball team remains undefeated after winning their Feb. 20 game against Taconic Hills by a score of 97-43. The team now advances to the Class B Quarterfinals, where they will play against Voorheesville on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4:00PM at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC).
