Position: School Business Official

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Collaborative work with the Superintendent of Schools, all department directors and building leaders to develop the school budget, implement student programs, long-range financial planning and maintain fiscal management over district expenditures.
  • Annual budget preparation and presentation to the Board of Education.
  • Comprehensive fiscal planning and budget development.
  • Demonstrate leadership over all aspects of the business department including, payroll, benefits, accounts payable, tax collection, auditing, accounting, other pertinent fiscal responsibilities.
  • Strengthening and implementing effective and efficient financial and budgetary internal processes and controls.
  • Assisting in the creation of District policies and plans, advising district leaders of the financial, procedural and related implications of programs and proposed changes in laws, rules, policies and procedures.
  • Participating in all aspects of the collective bargaining process, including compensation analysis, budgetary implications, and regional comparisons.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and proposed state and federal laws governing the control and distribution of school district finances and accountability reporting.
  • Collaborates with administrators, architects, attorneys, and financial advisors in planning, contracting, and constructing new facilities and/or capital improvement projects.
  • Supervises business office staff involved in bookkeeping, payroll and benefits, cost analysis, auditing, tax collection, food services, and school property management.
  • Perform other related assignments as requested by the Superintendent of Schools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.

Qualifications:

  • NYS Certification as School Business Administrator/School District Business Leader or meets Saratoga County Civil Service requirements
  • 3-5 years of Business/Finance related experience in a public school district

Salary: $110,000 – $130,000

Extended School Year Positions: K-2 Special Class

  • (1) Teacher
  • (2) Teaching Assistants (2)
  • (3) School Aides

Responsibilities: Stillwater CSD is looking for special education teachers, school aides, and teaching assistants to staff the summer program (Extended School Year). The program runs from Monday to Friday for six weeks, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Teachers are paid up to an additional 40 minutes daily for planning.

The dates will run from July 7 to Aug. 15.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates should apply on OLAS and submit a complete application. A complete application will consist of a cover letter, updated resume, transcripts, three letters of reference, and proof of certification.

Salary:

  • School Aides: $16.54/hr.
  • Teaching Assistants: $17.78/hr.
  • Teachers: $38.04/hr.

Position: 12-Month School Secretary (Provisional Appointment pending the results of the Civil Service Exam)

Skills: Good knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment. Must be organized and handle routine administrative details independently and attention to detail. Ability to to use office software programs including Google Docs and Google Sheets.

Ability to prepare and maintain program records and routine reports. Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in addition to establishing and maintaining highly confidential information from various sources.

Qualifications: Associates degree or higher, and/or two (2) years of related clerical experience.

Salary: $32,428.11

Position: Mathematics Teacher (Grade 8)

Description: SCSD is currently accepting applications for a full-time, probationary middle school Mathematics Teacher. This teacher will be responsible for teaching eighth grade math, as well as a section of Accelerated Regents Algebra.

Requirements: Candidates for this position must possess a valid NYS Mathematics 7-12 or 5-9 certification. Qualified candidates should apply on OLAS and submit a completed application. A completed application will consist of a cover letter, updated resume, transcripts, three letters of reference, and proof of certification. An ideal candidate for this position would have demonstrated outcomes on the NYS Math 8 Assessment and/or the Regents Algebra exam. Selected applicants will be invited to interview in-person with building stakeholders on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Salary: Per STA Contract and commensurate with experience.

Start Date: Sept. 1, 2025.

Position: Bus Driver (10-Month, Full-Time)

Requirements: HS Diploma/Equivalency Required
CDL License Class B with Passenger and School
Bus Endorsement & no airbrake restriction
Must meet 19 A requirements

Salary: $20,881.06 per the CSEA Agreement
