Individual in elementary school community tests positive for COVID-19

May 21, 2021

Dear Stillwater Community,

The Stillwater Central School District has confirmed that an individual in the elementary school community, who was last in school on May 18, has tested positive for COVID-19. We have been working with the Saratoga County Department of Health to complete contact tracing, and those who are impacted are being notified and advised by the health department regarding quarantine and testing.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

As a reminder, it is essential to keep the district informed if your child becomes symptomatic or if someone in your household tests positive. If you have a question regarding COVID-19 symptoms or protocols please reach out. Our COVID Team is here to help. If we do not have the answer we will connect with the Department of Health to get it for you.

Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
