Individual in elementary school community tests positive for COVID-19; classes will still resume on Monday

March 19, 2021

Dear Stillwater Community,

The Stillwater Central School District has been notified that an individual in the elementary school community has tested positive for COVID-19. This will not impact school on Monday – the elementary school (and MS/HS) will be open, and remote instruction for remote learners will be provided as well – on Monday, March 22.

We are working with the Saratoga County Department of Health on contact tracing and quarantine. Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

As a reminder, it is essential to keep the district informed if your child becomes symptomatic or if someone in your household tests positive. If you have a question regarding COVID-19 symptoms or protocols please reach out. Our COVID Team is here to help. If we do not have the answer we will connect with the Department of Health to get it for you.

Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
