Individual in HS community tests positive for COVID-19, no exposure

May 3, 2021

Dear Stillwater Community,

The Stillwater Central School District has confirmed that an individual in the high school community, who was last in school on April 26, has tested positive for COVID-19. We have been in contact with the Saratoga County Department of Health, and they have confirmed that there has been no school exposure from this individual, and there is no need for additional quarantines.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

As a reminder, it is essential to keep the district informed if your child becomes symptomatic or if someone in your household tests positive. If you have a question regarding COVID-19 symptoms or protocols please reach out. Our COVID Team is here to help. If we do not have the answer we will connect with the Department of Health to get it for you.

Sincerely,
Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
