Congratulations to Stillwater High School senior Leanny Castro and teacher Lisa Luskin on being recognized by the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) as “Students and Teachers Who Make a Difference.” The honor celebrates outstanding students based on their academic achievements, community service and leadership, as well as other unique accomplishments.

Schools utilize these factors when selecting a student; the student then chooses a teacher who has had a profound impact on their education. Leanny named high school English teacher Lisa Luskin as the recipient of this exceptional honor.

“Mrs. Luskin is not only an amazing teacher but an extraordinary person. Throughout my high school years at Stillwater, she has been a pillar of support in countless ways,” Leanny said. “She’s always there when you need her, consistently offering help and is always open to conversation. I’m deeply grateful for everything Mrs. Luskin has done for me, for other students, and for the school community as a whole.”
