A welcome back message from Superintendent Morris

Dear Students and Families,

Never before have I felt a more sincere welcome back than this letter extends. I am thrilled at the prospect of welcoming our Warriors back into our buildings this fall. While we plan strategically for a safe and productive school opening, we recognize that our current plan is not what anyone wants for our schools. We all want to be back in session with full classrooms, cafeterias and hallways. We also recognize that everyone has their own unique challenges around what a remote or hybrid instructional plan means. As we transition back from a fully remote spring, we will execute our current plan, adjust as needed and expand as allowed. Our ultimate goals remain the same- To transport, educate and feed our students in a safe working and learning environment. I believe our plan has been designed to do just that.

Thank you for your support as we move forward. Specific building level communication will be frequent. District updates will continue to supply you with the most current information regarding the successes and challenges of our plan. If you have a question or concern, please contact your student’s teachers, your building administrator(s) and other district staff who support your child’s learning.

Our district reopening plan can be found here.

Updates as per the Center for Disease Control, the Department of Health and the New York State Education Department will be made as necessary.

Thank you for all you do to help make the transition back to school safe for everyone. I believe that if we all do our part, we will be successful in the implementation of our Return-to-Learn Plan and more specifically in the education of our children.

Sincerely,

Patricia Morris
Superintendent
