Jan. 19: Three elementary school individuals test positive for COVID-19

Dear Stillwater Community,

Today, Tuesday, Jan. 19, the district confirmed three positive cases of COVID-19 in our school community with the Saratoga County Department of Health. The cases include three individuals associated with the elementary school community. These cases came in over the holiday weekend and were confirmed by DOH today. Please note, we can only convey positive cases after we receive confirmation from the Department of Health.

Two of the individuals who tested positive have not been in the building since Monday, Jan. 4 and Monday, Dec. 14.

One case presented potential exposure in our school community and that individual was last in the building on Thursday, Jan. 14. Those who may have been exposed have already been contacted.

Thank you for continuing to inform the district of potential exposure, testing, quarantines and/or possible positive test results. This information helps to keep us current on the potential spread of the virus in our town, village and school.

As always, individuals who test positive will not return to a district building until they are cleared by the health department.

We continue to work closely with the Saratoga County Department of Health and follow their guidance each time our district has a positive case.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your school principal.

Sincerely,

Patricia Morris
Superintendent of Schools
