Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security

The Stillwater Central School District’s Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security ensures the protection of students’ personally identifiable information (PII). It prohibits the sale or unauthorized release of student data, gives parents the right to review their child’s education records, and outlines safeguards like encryption and password protection. It also includes procedures for addressing data breaches and ensures that third-party vendors meet strict privacy standards.
